A great read, nice plot, always keeping you on the toes. As always Nesbø lines up a couple of possible perpetrators, keeps changing the pace, makes you think that Harry Hole has solved the case, just to turn things around again until the…

Warning: Chapter 1 describes an extremely disturbing and horrific torture scene. I read a little further, then realized that this author is not to be trusted and I stopped reading the book.

Jo Nesbo at his best. Complicated story that keeps you guessing till the very end. Remarkably tight. Remarkably well crafted, like a dangerous spiderweb.

Jo Nesbo can write. Intrigue, suspense, unique plots and storyline, and protagonist Detective Harry Hole. Actually, one would be remiss if they didn't read, in order, what is essentially a four part series consisting of a) Snowman, b)…

A page turner! Good translation of a novel written in Swedish. Didn't get turned off by Harry Hole's addictions. Hole's Swedish policing colleagues depend on his skills to solve murders. In this novel Harry figures out the connection…

Another well written intriguing book. Always enjoy these. The endings are hard to swallow occasionally, but good nonetheless.

This book #8 in the Detective Harry Hole series set in Oslo but it is important to read the earlier books in the series (especially The Redbreast, #3 in the series) BEFORE you read this one because of logical linkages among the stories;…

If you're a fan of this series, this will not disappoint. Harry can't catch a break as he strives to make sense of his personal life after the fallout from Snowman. Meanwhile, people in Oslo are dying horrible deaths. This author is…

I did really enjoy it. But I missed the Salander character. Harry Hole is classic alkie/addict tortured cop figure. She was really unique. So it still isn't Stieg Larsson.

What a phenomenal book!! Just when you think you have figured out who did it, Nesbo throws in a new twist to the story. You can't put it down until it is done. I will be reading Nesbo's other books...

The covers of Nesbo's books are all stamped with "The Next Stieg Larsson". I know this is for promotion purposes, but it is ridiculous; Nesbo is a much better writer than Larsson both stylistically and as a story teller. This latest…
