This award-winning series gets better and better. The legend of the Lantern Man is the perfect framework for a series of murders that take place near the marsh. A charismatic professor by the name of Ivor March has been convicted to the murder of two women. A mysterious note sends Ruth to interview the murderer and find out where the bodies of two additional women are buried. The plot is multi-layered with women (alive and dead) of a similar type, two burial sites, two separate investigations, and a compelling climax point where all roads converge. I loved all the moving parts and the many ways Griffiths kept us guessing. If jumping on a bike would have gotten me to the end more quickly, I would have done it. We want more Ruth! Please keep the series going, Elly!
