Gay Girl, Good God

the Story of Who I Was and Who God Has Always Been
Nov 29, 2019
Reading this book was such an eye opener and a true inspiration. Jackie broke down point by point of what it was like living the gay lifestyle and how Jesus pulled her out and gave her something better (finding her loving husband and becoming a mother). I agree with WordWoman49 in that this book was not meant to condemn those who are gay, rather it's more of a guide to understanding them and loving them. Yes, God desires for us to have an intimate and fruitful relationship with Him; however, we accomplish that by following and obeying what He says. God loves us and keeps on calling for our hearts even when we do not listen. Jackie testifies to hearing God tell her to let go of her girlfriend, because she was keeping Jackie from God (from having a complete relationship with Him). Of course letting go was a definite struggle, and Jackie finds herself contiually crying out to God for His help during times of temptation. She also points out that a heterosexual relationship does not "fix" being gay, as Christians and others may think. It must first begin with a heart and mind change as God works in your life and as you pursue a closer relationship with Him. Jackie Hill Perry stands true to the fact that God created marriage to be between one man and one woman, and that even from birth God designed and created her to be the woman she was meant to be. And what a wonderful, godly woman she is! I totally recommend checking out her youtube channel:
