Interesting story about resuming young love after a 60 year intermission, but their families have lots of personal and interpersonal issues. Well-acted by many in the cast with some funny moments amongst all the angst. If it was watched as a weekly TV show, perhaps the characters' low morals and periodic swearing wouldn't be so evident. You might watch it to vicariously "enjoy" the problems of these fictional folks and be glad that your family isn't so dysfunctional. A common thread seems to be the benefits of families having a decent, engaged husband/father (and the effects of not having one). When it is watched from DVDs (or streamed) in a more compact time window, the moral toxicity of the characters, dialog and storylines (i.e., the writing) builds up- like mercury from eating too much canned tuna too often. After watching three episodes in two nights, that was too much for me and it's permanently off my "watch list." I wanted to like it, but I can't recommend it.
