Maze Runner: Death Cure is the final movie in the Maze Runner series starring main character Thomas (played by Dylan O’Brien). I really enjoyed the film because I love action movies; the Maze Runner: Death Cure has too many action-packed scenes to count. It was directed by talented Wes Ball who also directed The Maze Runner and Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials. The film got its storyline from its book written by James Dashner. In my opinion, Maze Runner: Death Cure is my favourite out of the trilogy because of the different sets and character development. For example, at the beginning of the movie it starts in a desert with train tracks being the only sign of development in the area. I thought it was a unique terrain for the actors to work on when watching the scene. I would tell my peers to watch the movie! It’s definitely targeted towards teens with the intense plotline and how characters communicate with one another. Overall, I would rate the film 4/5 stars! Great movie! @BookwormHS of the Hamilton Public Library's Teen Review Board I give this movie a three out of five. First off I did like how they changed the ending, both the book and movie had a different ending. But I enjoyed how they had a new ending and created more explanations for why WICKED was created. The movie itself was completely different from the actual book but still manages to keep its basic storyline. In some movies, I don't like the idea of them changing the story that goes along with the book, but in this case, I quite enjoyed it. The Death Cure is a very long movie and I recommend that you watch it with a lot of attention. As some parts, I did cry but for the rest of the movie, I was in anticipation waiting for what to happen next. One thing that I didn't like about this movie is how they left some characters and parts in the book out. But again the movie can't be the same as the book or what's the point if you already know what's going to happen. I highly recommend the Maze Runner series to anyone who's looking for a series to just relax and enjoy, as this movie may get violent, it is still a good movie to watch with teens. @Icecream of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board I think this film is better that the second one which is the Maze Runner: The Scorch Trial, I definitely had a blast with this film. The execution was quite good in the film’s action sequences take up the majority of the film and the direction in this film was very good and there is a nice way they kind of diversify the action sequences because at one moment you will have a chase scene but then you will have some gunplay and then you also have close quarters fist fighting stuff it is all very well handled t the end of the day it’s a really good way to kind of expand what they have instead of doing he same old kind of action that having repetitive and even the visual effects have kind of improved in this film. Overall, it was a great movie to watch. 4/5 Stars. @moviefanatic of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board
