My granddaughter and I visited the site where Whitman Mission once stood, so I have read and been insterested in any information on the happenings there. This. Book makes it all to real. And brings me back to our visit there walking among the areas where each building stood and thinking about what went on there not realizing the true and all to real horror those people lived through.. it no longer seems so distant to me I had wanted to go back there again, because I am an archeology buff, but this book made it so real and close to me that I don’t know that I can go back there again. The horrific pain and suffering that went on there to those people would be to much.
