Humorous and witty, Nell Zink takes us for a ride on the train of identity seekers. After the ex hippy patriarch of the Baker family dies, Penny, the daughter, gives living at the Nicotine a try. It's a community of squatters who vie for smokers. Plus, it's belongs to her deceased father. Never a dull moment. The satire, the clever and unmistakable inventiveness of the writing makes for a fun and oddly satisfying book.
