As an adult, I love to read children's books from time to time, for admiring the story and illustrations that if well done, can impact a child's worldview and/or how they view themselves. With that said, I LOVED this simple yet powerful story by one of our (award-winning) great writers; and I LOVED the beautifully effective illustrations by an amazing artist. The two of them together make a book every child should read. It will have them thinking about how they see and refer to themselves. And it's about how important and fun it can be to be true to oneself. I highly recommend. FYI...as an adult reader, it will take you just a short time to read but you'll want to page through it again...more than once...to enjoy the sweet story and revel in the fun, expressive artwork. Enjoy!
