Above-average British historical mystery (1920s). Character-driven, rather than plot-driven - although I thought the plot was good. Daisy is portrayed as effortlessly charming person -- someone who naturally inspires trust. The chaos her "interference" in murder investigations causes among police units is the main source of humor. Could appeal to fans of Winspear's Maisie Dobbs series although the style is warmer and more relaxed. Interesting comments by other readers. Sounds like some in series are faster paced.
