This is one of the best films I have ever seen that depicts people with mental illness. I myself have seen relatives transition from a normal state to a psychotic state and I have been over-medicated during a dental procedure putting me into a psychotic state for a few minutes. The actors seemed to me to be acting very realistically and I give kudos to the director for getting sane actors to realistically play the roles of people suffering from pychosis. Since this is an indie with a tiny budget, I suspect that famous actors Joe Morton and James McDaniel (8 years on NYPD Blue) agreed to participate for minimum wages because of their belief in the film. This is director Jono Oliver’s first film as director after working many years as second director (many casual film fans do not even know there are second directors on nearly all films).
