I'm glad Roger Corman (still active at 87) is alive to enjoy his current renaissance. There was a documentary ("Corman's World") a few years ago, many of his films are making their way to DVD (Shout! factory editions are the best) and now we have this lavish coffee table cook, which is worth it for the awesome/kitschy movie posters alone. But it also tells the story of Corman and his movies from those who were there. Even if you dismiss his movies at trash (in which case you are too snobby for your own good), you have to respect the man for recognizing talent and giving future Oscar-winning directors like Coppola, Scorsese and Demme early breaks. A terrific books for the Corman fan and for all fans of gloriously cheesy b movies. It's only missing a complete filmography. 5 Corman movies to start with: "Little Shop of Horrors," "The Masque of the Red Death," "Attack of the Crab Monsters," "Caged Heat," "Battle Beyond the Stars."
