Meh! This book had a lot of negativity. Upon finding out she was pregnant, Amelia's mother, Kate, had doubts about birthing Amelia. It didn't help that Amelia's grandmother thought her pregnancy should be terminated due to how this would affect Kate's career. Amelia was never told who her birth father was, nor did she have any interaction with any fatherly figures, and her mother seemed to be a workaholic. Peer pressure got the best of Amelia and led to her demise. The peers she associated with were uncouth, ruthless and non-caring bullies. Maybe it's me, but I viewed all of this as negative and just a downer of a book.
