I rated this book as good, primarily because of the detailed information about woollen mills in post-WW1 Britain. I did find the mystery interesting, but liked the other characters better than the protagonist. I didn't care for the chapters flashing back to 1916 and told from the point of view of the various characters in the story; that only interrupted the flow of the story. Once I got past the slow start it was a good story, but I won't be reading the other books in the series. I prefer Jacqueline Winspear's series set in the same time period.
