Although I'm not sure, I may have enjoyed this book even more than any of the novels within the Drake Chronicles series. I love books following the concepts of death and ghosts, and usually they make it cliche or cheesy but I liked the way that Harvey touched upon cliches without going overboard. Violet was realistic while also being obviously fictional and it's what made the book amazing. I usually don't enjoy stories set outside of modern time, such as the 19th century in this case, but I'd gladly make an exception for any other books by Harvey if they meet this level of work. - @PageTurner of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
