This book is so much fun! Perfect for fans of contemporary middle grade graphic novels who love animals (especially cats) and have an appetite for adventure! Katie lives in New York City with her single mom who works nights. She's trying to save up money to go to camp with her friends by working odd jobs and ends up catsitting for a mysterious neighbor with 217 cats! As if that wasn't wild enough, each cat has their own special talents, plus Katie's starting to suspect that her neighbor is a super villain... What hijinks will ensue?!

Between hilarious nights catsitting, Katie is dealing with a friendship that's falling apart. The mix of realistic situations and fun imagination makes this graphic novel a great pick for kids! I loved the animal welfare aspect—which is a central theme—and the mixed-case text. The only qualm I had with it was that it included cops, one of whom was glorified as an animal-lover. Still, I can't wait for the sequel!
