This series is dark. Almost disturbingly so. You will want to factor that in to whether or not you want to watch it. It is well-written. It is really well acted for the most part. Most of the episodes are well-paced. It is incredibly interesting look at the idea of what someone goes through who works in intelligence: specifically going from idealist who really wants to make the world a safer and better place to the effect of being submerged in a world where you are chasing assassins and dealing with psychopathic minds, and how that will corrupt or have an effect on you. Really well done - just such dark subject matter, I am not sure I am enjoying it versus being disturbed by it.

Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer are great in this tv series. You never know whom to trust or what is going to happen next. Highly recommend. Kristi & Abby Tabby

Mho is that Comer outshines Oh in their respective S2 roles, not only as the expected flamboyant psychopathic assassin but also a venerable prosaic fugitive having suffered a severe knife wound at the end of S1. Again high body count stylishly done in exotic well chosen locations. Look forward to S3.

Recap of S1 - Eve's briefing on Villanelle in Ep. 2:

So, originally our team was set up to look into a string of international assassinations. Cesare Greco, Carla De eMann, Zhang Wu. There didn't seem to be a whole lot connecting them except for this female assassin: Oksana Astankova, or as she prefers to be called, Villanelle. Her handler was this man, Konstantin Vasiliev, F.S.B. agent who moonlighted for the criminal organization that hired her. ... I think I might have killed her.
