This movie surprised me. Cranston was great as was Kevin. Nicole's part wasn't juicy enough for her talents. Maybe she needed a break from her usually intense roles. Great, feel good movie. I don't see how anyone could be disappointed.

I thought this was a wonderful movie! The acting was terrific! It was a touching film about how two people from totally different worlds can become friends and learn from each other.

5 stars for this movie, it has humor balanced with a look at discrimination toward people with disabilities and the danger of stereotyping. Excellent acting and one of the best movies I've seen recently.

Boy is this a dull and boring movie. Why did they even make it? Oh it's based on a "true" story. Whatever. And Kevin Hart is a really terrible actor too.

The movie was a sequel to the movie called The Intouchables (2011). Now I believe The Intouchables was done much better then The Upside. However, The Upside was not a completely disappointing movie. Still had some positive points.

I really wanted to like this movie. However, it began very slowly, at around 45 minutes it got better. It wasn't very funny, not a movie I would ever watch again.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this film. It is one of the most heart-warming and naturally comical films I've seen in quite some time! The acting was awesome - very believable! A story of True friendship. I rated it 4 out of 5.

Philip Lacasse: Have you ever listed to opera?
Dell Scott: Yeah. Opera's really big in prison. You can hardly get a seat on opera night.

Many good quotes in IMDb already, thanks to the contributors. A couple of the gems are:

Funny:
You can have any girl you want. What about this lady with all the Botox? You're perfect for each other. You can't move your body, she can't move her face.

Reality:
It's my legs. It's the nerves. It's called neurogenic pain. It's like being on fire.
-They don't give you nothing for that?
Different medications. It helps a bit. Not enough.
- Hurt enough to make you wanna off yourself?
No. But losing my wife does.
