This reimagining of Disney's Aladdin is compelling and provides an honest and compassionate look at humankind and what leads them down the paths they follow.

The equivalent to fractured fairy tales for children, this is an original spin on a Disney favorite, that lives up to the challenge of staying true to the Aladdin characters but delves into a refreshing turn of events. Romance and action keep the pages turning.

I opened this one and couldn't put it down. It's the first in a series of "Disney Twisted Tales" by Ms. Braswell and honestly I love the twists she puts in each of them. It shows how one simple little decision can change an entire universe and how the story can take a completely different turn. I can't wait to see what her next story is and I recommend this book to anyone and everyone who enjoys Disney movies. The next one in the series is Once Upon A Dream and her most recent is As Old As Time; retellings of Sleeping Beauty and Beauty and the Beast respectively.

As you start reading the first 100 pages you feel like you're reading the movie. It's exactly the same. But then we get to the cave of wonders and it finally takes the change of direction. It was a good decent read above all.
