Felt like Star Wars written by the millennial's that wrote guardian of the galaxy. To cheeky and forced. Great sets but a very muddy and ordinary looking "futuristic" locations. Plot was stupid and dialogue when not searching for a clever joke was expository and dull. Mediocre and safe direction by Ron Howard, just like he did on Da vinci code. Not nearly as good as Rogue One or The Force Awakens witch are fantastic Star Wars Universe films but its not as terribly unwatchable as The Last Jedi (UGH!!!!!). The Main problem is the lead role of Han Solo is unimpressive, lacks screen charisma and has no gravitas to pull us in. He just doesn't seem like Han Solo or that he can ever become Han Solo. Emilia Clarke does a good watered down mother of dragons impersonation with lots of blank looks and earnest staring. Childish Gambino is great as Lando !!!!! a true music genius and great actor. its mediocre and Star Wars isnt supposed to be average. Even 420 doesnt make it better ~

Much better than I expected. Perhaps it was the fact that I am not too familiar with all the planets and politics in the Star Wars movies. Good flow of action, growth of the actors and camaraderie. I found the background story to Han Solo and Chewbacca's friendship quite interesting. The action sequences were Lucas worthy.

Ugh. It was okay, I guess.

Really enjoyed this movie. Good action and adventure throughout.

Not terrible. Those familiar with the EU will see nods and hints all over the place, and the film is enjoyable overall, but at the same time I feel as if the movie tries to force too much stuff into one movie, cramming 20 years of history into two hours. This movie might've done better as a TV series.

Of all the Stars Wars Movie's that have been produced in the last few years (not the early originals) This was my Favorite! It felt real and was done very well.

This movie was awesome! Seriously! I don't remember it getting much hype when at the theatre? If you like Star Wars, you will love this move. Excellent job by actor playing Hans. Woody was great too.

3.5/5 stars. Solo: A Star Wars Story is a 2018 space western film set in Disneys now expansive Star Wars universe. It is the second anthology Star Wars film after Rouge One. Well not received well in the box office, or particularly favored by critics, I was surprised to find myself having an absolute blast while watching this movie. While this movie is fun, there are still many flaws littered throughout. The main issue comes from the entire premise of making a Han Solo movie. This character has been so beloved and choosing now to make a film centered around him is a gamble. To many, this could be seen as a perversion of such an awesome character, a quick (but failed) cash grab by the big studio Disney. While I don’t have such a cynical view of the motivations for making this movie, they did not do any justice to flushing out or developing the character of Han Solo any further. I would have much preferred to have the movie be centered around a new cast of characters. This would allow Disney to start to take the Star Wars franchise in new directions instead of simply relying on past canon. While a good movie, I feel it is a missed opportunity for Disney to exploit with their multibillion-dollar franchise. @Joaquin of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board

A little too concerned with connecting the dots between young Han Solo and the original Star Wars trilogy, but this movie is way more fun than it should be based on the infamous production issues. It could have used some more humor, but at the end of the day it's still a pretty dang fun Star Wars story.

Pretty enjoyable!
They finally deal with the issue of some robots being sentient! and what happened to chewbacca's people? and where does the empire get its resources? and other stuff
Good amount of female characters with lines too...not perfect but better than the old starwars movies
I thought it was not as good and Force Awakens or The Last Jedi --but much, much better than Rogue One.

36 quotes IMDb and surprised that this one is not in it as of today:

I'm an outlaw. ... What? I'm not kidding.
-Okay. Okay, outlaw, you can tell yourself that, but I might be the only person in the whole galaxy who knows what you really are.
Yeah. What's that?
-You are the good guy.
