What a fun way to experience a romance story of your choice! I ended up with a supernatural kind of story, which fit my interests pretty well. I then spent some time exploring other choices and endings and there are some I would have never found based on my preferences, but were super cool nonetheless! There truly are options for everyone - give this book a try and enjoy the adult choose-your-own-adventure!

This book was a complete delight.

Considering the mechanics of writing an interactive novel has always made my head ache. The authors clearly accomplished what they set out to achieve. It's written in a tongue-in-cheek style, and historical romance fans will recognize many Regency tropes.

I'm conflicted in marking this book as complete when I haven't found every possible ending. If I had more time I would read through all of them, but this is a library book with a hold queue, and I have a lot on my reading plate. I didn't get the ending I wanted on my first read-through, which was with Lady Evangeline Youngblood, so I will just have to pick it up later and hope for the best!

Update two hours later: I decided to take another turn through the book before returning it to the library and I got my happy ending with Evangeline! In Egypt, in breeches, with a group of lady pirates. Well done, me!

I haven't read a romance novel since high school <mumble> years ago, but was intrigued by the whole idea. I really enjoyed going back and reading another branch, and then another. The authors play joyfully with all the tropes I remembered so well, without ever becoming trite. It didn't take me long to have my way with all the characters!

The majority of my rating goes to the level of creativity the author put into all of the possible scenarios. There were many possible suitors with multiple paths ending with each one depending on how you directed your story. I chose the path that seemed the most true to me and tried to avoid a large amount of the sexual innuendo which is not really my thing. Also explored a couple of plot lines leading me to an alternative love interest. Others might enjoy being the opposite of themselves as they read the book. There are some entertaining snarky comments as the reader jumps from passage to passage as they make decision on how they want their romance story to continue. Linear folks like me may find it a bit frustrating to jump around so much and not know how close you are to the end of the book.

Congratulations, you've stumbled upon a very special book. Who can resist the magic of a Choose Your Own Adventure story? If you never had the thrill of navigating something like an Indiana Jones quest, making actual life or death decisions, then boy, you missed out. Luckily for you, My Lady's Choosing nails the "CYOA for grown ups" concept. Weighty choices must be made at every turn, primarily those dealing with whom to pursue in love-- but wait! Mortal danger lurks even this tale of romance. To get that happily ever after with the guy of your dreams (or not!), you'll have to be witty and wise. It's really funny and has great illustrations, too!

I couldn't resist picking up this book. How could I not being a fan of the "Choose Your Own Adventure" books as a kid? I read through a couple of different story paths and thoroughly enjoyed each one. I got quite a few laughs reading certain passages. Fair warning, it does get a little "steamy" in parts.

I'll admit I cheated and tried out a couple different endings -- each more fun than the one before. Don't be fooled by the original three archetypal suitors, this book has more to offer. Definitely worth a try for romance fans and first-timers alike.
