"Charlie Lamonte is thirteen years old, queer, black, and questioning what was once a firm belief in God. So naturally, she's spending a week of her summer vacation stuck at an all-white Christian youth backpacking camp. As the journey wears on and the rhetoric wears thin, she can't help but poke holes in the pious obliviousness of this storied sanctuary with little regard for people like herself -- or her fellow camper Sydney." -- Publisher's description.

I haven't read a graphic novel in a long time. But I wanted to read this one because of it's subject matter. Two queer girls find a bond in a Christian feminist camp for girls. How poetically ironic is that. The story was simple and uncomplicated and it got to the point. I really enjoyed reading it.

Will there be more? I really enjoyed this. I know it's a webcomic, but I got to the end of the print book and wondered if that was The End, or if there would be a volume two.

Anyway, I really liked the art, and the plot was engaging and realistic, I think. I would definitely recommend this to others.
