During Hitler's anniversary speech on November 8, 1939, a man is arrested on the Swiss border for possession of suspicious objects. Just minutes later, a bomb explodes in the Munich Burgerbraukeller, immediately behind the Fuhrer's lectern, killing eight people. Given the fact that we know the assassination attempt upon the life of Adolph Hitler failed, I was not certain how the film would build suspense. The director and writers did excellent work in portraying the history of Georg Elser and engaging the viewer in his fate. Highly recommend!! Kristi & Abby Tabby

Very unfortunate that his assassination of Hitler did not succeed. It would have most likely prevented 50 million deaths.
