Charlotte has had as many jobs as she's had bad relationships, and now she's in a less-than-glamorous gig at a pie-and-fry joint in Los Angeles. She collides-- literally-- with Adam, an intriguing and mysterious painter. Their meeting on the street turns into a whirlwind one-night stand that has her feeling enchanted by his spontaneity and joy for life. But in the harsh light of morning, Adam's tune changes. Months later Charlotte's relationship with Seth, a baseball player, is turning into something more meaningful-- if she could only move past her one night with Adam.

This book was very light, a quick read. Unfortunately I found the characters, especially Charlotte, superficial and disappointing. She just happens to be gorgeous..oh, but doesn't realize it and puts herself down. She is attracted to two men at the same time, the first one (SPOILERS.......) conveniently dies, but not until she's had meaningful time with him. and oh wait, the good looking, athletic, sensitive ball player has waited for her, and she gets to pick up where she left off. Disappointing, full of stereotypes and clichés.
