This was the darkest, and yet most comforting, children's book I've ever seen Lemony Snicket write.
A pleasantly melancholic tale about the ghost of goldfish looking for a new friend.
Melancholy and lonely, and might set children's imaginations wild as they wonder what ghosts of dead animals and people may be floating around them.... not great.
This one was too busy and not purposeful enough to be enjoyable, for me.
Goldfish Ghost has been alone his whole life so he goes out searching for friends. Intricate illustrations, heartwarming text and a comforting story that speaks plainly about death.
Its not easy to find a friend, especially when you have tried all the usual places. But Ghostfish doesn't give up until he does.
