Beautiful combination of color and mixed media, made the book sing along with the poems inside!

This is my favorite book of poetry about poetry, which I know if a fairly niche genre, but it is absolutely lovely.

Newbery Medal winning author and poet, Kwame Alexander, has done it again! He is joined by several other poets to pay tribute to many of our greatest poets in his latest book, "Out of Wonder", Poems Celebrating Poets. Beautifully illustrated by Ekua Holmes, each poem honors poets, past and present, by writing in that particular poet's style. Young and old will be drawn into the wonders of words and hopefully, become inspired to write a poem of their own. These are definitely poems to be pondered and read over and over again. Enjoy!!
