This book had so much to offer. It is a deviation from the typical Scandinavian crime mystery/thriller. It is told from the perspective of the defendant as the story unfolds in court as well as what she thought and felt while in jail.
It dealt with issues that affect not only the Swedish people, but people throughout the world. It was thought provoking as well as being a well told story. I found the conclusion to be powerful and made the book worth the read.
