The Branch
By Mireille Messier
@SPL: JP Messi
If you are looking for an inspiring book to read to your children, or your classroom, involving kindness, empathy, creativity, neighbours, and even re-purposing, then “The Branch”, written by Mireille Messier, is the book for you.
An inventive little girl has a favourite branch on a tree in her family yard where she lets her imagination soar. Unfortunately one stormy night the branch is broken, and so is her small adventurous world...or so she thinks.
What happens next will warm your heart.
Pierre Pratt, has captured the little girl’s spirit, and a child’s perspective, with his simply charming, and colourful illustrations.
“The Branch” is a story of caring, kindness and imagination. One little girl who refuses to give up on the thing she loves is rewarded with new friendships and a future of endless escapades.
