Details the history of the Puget Sound region once owned via treaty by the British corporation Hudson's Bay Company and its subsidiary Puget Sound Agriculture, whose holdings included land inside American borders from Canada to the Columbia River. The author builds a case that this land was acquired by illegal means used by American civillian and legal authorities which culminated in the Pig War on San Juan Island.
