An adequate but not entirely satisfactory accounting of auto racing's most famous family. The book also takes a look into the politics of NASCAR, and asks the big What If: Could Dale Earnhardt's life have been saved at the 2001 Daytona 500, but for lack of safety equipment the driver refused to wear?
