This ended up being better than I expected it to be. Really gives insight into Chinese life at different time periods. It's almost like you're travelling as the author in many stories. Plus the history of the authors is given before each story, which is nearly as fascinating as the stories themselves. Definitely worth a read if you like travel and/or anthropology or just some good reading.
