I agree with Brit's comments, especially after 1st episode of volume 3! No wonder there is no season 3. A lot of contradictions, such as where's the electricity come from for lights and lab equipment (though be it out of date)? We're originally told colony on island established to be back to basics and original scenes only show light from candles in cells and hallways. Modern tractors? Also, hot water showers? How was all this maintained? Definitely a turn-around ending. Last scene written after knew no 3rd season? Who are the "good guys" and who are the bad?

This SYFY series is a mish-mash of sci-fi, horror, and time-travel action thriller, but does none of these genres justice. Fractured plotlines, bad acting, primary actors disappearing for most of an episode without others wondering where they are, etc, etc. There was only a loose connection to the 1st series, and then most of those original characters are killed off by the 3rd episode in this series. You get the idea. I hoped that by the end everything would somehow get wrapped up, but no such luck. One wants to like the protagonists, but they change personality midway, or do something inexplicable, so what you're left with wondering why you're watching this and wasting so much time! Arrgh!!
