Wonderful story about nature and animals. I loved it, and I'm an adult!

We are eagerly awaiting the next book in the series. My 10yo really enjoyed this book. My 12 and 14yo did as well, even if they won't admit it publicly.

A great start for a fantasy series. A boy's quest to become independent takes him through a perilous journey to save some friends and to return home. A coming of age story that has lots of heart. A mixture of science and magic along with talking animals makes a great book. I'm anxiously waiting for the next book because Park left the reader wanting answers to questions that can only be done in the sequels.

For readers of the Spirit Animals series or the various Warrior series by Erin Hunter.
