I have to put this at the bottom of my I-team book list. FYI there is lots of sex but that wasn't enough for me. I didn't feel any real emotional connection between the two main characters.....other then the sex. Holly most definitely isn't someone I want to look up to. There is a lot you can do for your country....but in the name of democracy that is something no WOMEN should have to do. The seventh entry was a let down for me.
Seduction Game (I-Team #7) by Pamela Clare has everything I expect in an I-Team story and even more! I love all these characters and stories, but this one has an amazing character twist. Just when you thought you knew everyone, Ms. Clare makes a fun and intriguing change between our perception of Holly and the character’s reality. This book is Romantic Suspense at its best.
Holly Bradshaw has been with us from the start as a friend of all the I-Team, but she writes for the entertainment section of the paper. She leads a glamorous, wild life with no apologies, but is sometimes secretly jealous of her friends as they find their true loves. Her gorgeous new neighbor, Nick Andris, claims to be a writer, but is a CIA officer sent to follow Holly, who he has been told is betraying her country. He believes there has been a big mistake and then the suspense plot takes a huge twist. I don’t want to give away any secrets and twists because they are everywhere, but this was a complete surprise and it was such a great choice.
This book has a hot and steamy romance, but it also has heartfelt emotional ups and downs. It has suspense that moves at an extremely fast pace with a multitude of twists and turns. A character arc that was a complete surprise and I loved it. I couldn’t want anything more from a great read!
