With all of it's losses and nice blessings, this is a nice book. The author helps people, not to get lost, with many reminders of what happens in the story. This is a concern for some. The book is a decent read.

I really like this book. It is about two brothers who are twins, but opposite of each other. The story tells all of the problems they had growing up in a small town. One brother, Michael, becomes a doctor, like his dad, while the other, Peter, becomes a very rich man working in New York on Wall Street. When Peter loses everything, including his wife, who divorcs him, when the stock market crashes, he heads to Ware, MA to live in the cottage. He becomes part of Michael's life again, but feels like something isn't right. When Michael's wife who is bedridden almost all of the time becomes seriously ill, he has to question whether Michael's affections again. Love this book.

Reading Danielle Steel is like traveling down a familiar road. You know where you're going to end up, but there might be some twists and turns along the way. This book definitely had some twists I didn't see coming and a touch of mystery and surprise that I like.

I haven't read Danielle Steel in many years. This book was a quick, easy read. Fairly predictable, and as others have noted, quite repetitive.

It will probably be many more years before I pick up another, if ever.

Great if you want to read a book over the weekend.

This novel was one of Steel's better stories- the plot and suprising twists involving the two brothers made for an interesting read with a bit of suspense and intrigue.

This is an excellent novel. I think it is one of her best book that I have read in awhile. Danielle Steel just keeps getting better as the time goes on.
