Jim Starlin returns to one of the characters he's most identified with in this original graphic novel. Thanos is asking himself some profound questions in this tale spanning realities and the cosmos, and throwing in Adam Warlock, among other characters, is quite welcome. Starlin shows once again how good he is at writing intricate cosmic tales and strong characterization. The story itself requires multiple reading, as the reader will pick up on new things each time. This is the sort of way comics should be written.
