Do kids really like books like this? Maybe I'm too old. It held such promise with the plot idea. Instead the boy doesn't understand why he can't have a dinosaur living in his cellar. The author tried to make it plausible of him ignoring information, but I don't know ANY child that stupid/ oblivious. Plus I *really* don't like stories with bullies that don't face consequences. Other than that...solid story with nice character interaction with father.
