Did not even finish this book. It simply does not compare to "Sarah's Key", which was very good! A disappointment....

Scorned woman smut, hilarious. I read it in one sitting.

Tatiana de Rosnay's writing style and penchant for telling a story are evident in each vignette held in this book. The stories are eminently readable and entertaining but the overall effect left me depressed. I think, for me, there is nothing entertaining about infidelity.

Fast read. If you enjoy short stories I would recommend.

A Paris Affair is a great collection of stories for a teenage girl in the 1900’s. The stories were blah and predictable. The theme was all husbands & wives cheat. The author is in a mental time warp where blonde hair = beauty and infidelity. One particular story about an AMERICAN student living abroad knowing full well her professor is MARRIED and CHEATS on his wife YET the student who is also in a relationship agrees to meet with the cheating professor and allows him to kiss her. The story then turns comical because the student is hailed a “good” girl because although HE kissed her (wink, wink), she didn’t go all the way with the professor. Angry about a bad grade the professor gave her, the American student hacks into the professor’s computer and print out tons of conversations /meet & greets the professor has had with other women. This student wasn’t “interested” in the MARRIED professor yet she was interested enough to ask about him and watch him BEFORE their “chance” meeting.
A Paris Affair reminds me of being in grade school and hearing girls in the locker room gossip about “did you hear the one about the woman’s husband that”……

A collection of short stories about Parisian husbands and wives who cheat on their spouses. At times funny, and at times acrimonious, it made me want to avoid French men.
