This is quite a good guide to drawing shoujo in manga. Christopher Hart, and the other collaborating artists, give a very good selection of faces, body positions, hair movement, etc. for the artist to work on. Though I believe that this is not quite for beginners, it's more for the intermediate range of artists. But, if a beginner artist were to pick this up, then it would still be valuable information for them.
