This was a very cute romance novel. I love Donna Kauffman, and I love how she creates a world that you want to sink into. That having been said, I was almost more interested in Blueberry Cove than I was the story - which, while good, had several plot holes.
It was weird to me how the couple seemed to get turned on by discussing their grief...weird placement of emotional bonding right before physical bonding. Also, the couple went from HOT HOT HOT to ice cold by a paragraph summary so you felt like you were trying to catch up to where the couple was at without even realizing anything had happened.
The threat of a power hungry husband and wife team in town scheming to cause trouble was made out to seem like a huge deal but then immediately abandoned as soon as they were built up to be an issue.
Also, the fact that they were struggling with their forever bond after only a month (what will happen to us in two years?) seemed a little silly unless they were planning to make a long term commitment like getting married right away, which would have been fine and believable for how quickly their relationship seemed to move, but did not ultimately happen.
All in all, I would read again (and again and again) but it did read a little like the first or second draft of a potentially wonderful novel rather than the finished product.

Very, very good! Once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down. I absolutely loved it!

There is just too much philosophical meandering in this book. What Logan and Alex both need is some grief counseling. Logan is still carrying grief over the loss of his fiancee 10 years ago. That's one-third of his life! The ending didn't even indicate that these two would be together for more than a couple of years.
