Definitely not this author's best work. In general, RVD tends to write her rom-coms with slapstick humor. When done well and not overdone, it can be fun and entertaining. In The Bet, it was overdone with a high level of immaturity in nearly every character.

This was a very quick read- not a lot of substance, but some swoons and some fluffy romance. Good for someone who likes a little bit of conflict easily resolved, a hate-to-love romance, and isn't looking for too much in the way of plot. This one was all about the characters and their dialogue.

This book didn't have a huge plot to it, other than a woman who is attracted to two brothers. I had both this one and the book that comes after it "The Wager" I won't be reading the second. If your a reader who just wants a type of quick read than it definitely is just that.
