Oddly organized, unappealing recipes.

Love his books, and the food in here is healthy and can save your life. That said, I have found tastier recipes that are healthful and vegan from other sources. So while this cookbook isn't my favorite, the message is great and the food is as healthy as it gets.
Absolutely borrow it from the library and try some of them out. Any that you put in your meal rotation will contribute to better health.

This is a fabulous book. I originally thought I could never eat this way, considering I live with an Italian husband and a son who is a self proclaimed meatatarian, however I have been following Joel Fuhrman's advice for over a year. I feel fabulous, am fit and lean, and never feel hungry. I still cook meat for my family, however, they are eating more vegetables and salads are on our daily menu. The book that really convinced me was Super Immunity. Treat yourself well and good things will follow. Good Luck!!

I highly recommend this book. I started reading the book 2 weeks before thanksgiving. By Jan 30, I am down 22 pounds and feel great. There is no complicated formula. Just eat 80-90% of your food from fresh veggie, fruit, beans, seeds and nuts. Start slow if you need to, including stay out of fast food resturants, avoid processed foods and white flour product (yes, bagels too). The book provides some great tips for getting healthy by just eating the right foods.
