The book was Amazing! And The Voidborn are so totally the same as Void, that turned people into the reversed... (vanguard anyone?)

This book is... interesting. I think that's the best word for it. A lot of it wasn't exactly successful, but there were a lot of very neat ideas floating around in it. The aliens, the little twists about Sam himself, those were gold and it would have been nice if they were explored a little better (maybe in an eventual sequel?) but the story itself suffered awkward transitions between fast paced action and really slow, dull build up. I wouldn't read it again, but it's an okay scifi novel to recommend for younger teens.
