Septimus must battle the remnants of the Dark Domaine, which will remain until the power of the evil Two-Faced Ring is destroyed forever. To accomplish that, the ancient Alchemie Fyre must be relit -- a task that sends Septimus to the very origins of Magyk and Physik, testing both his skills, and his loyalties to ExtraOrdinary Wizard, Marcia Overstrand, and Alchemist Marcellus Pye.

I LOVE THIS SERIES!!! Iv'e reread these books several times and i'm still not bored. :) I'm impressed with the artwork quality in these books and her descriptive words. I will say I wish their was a little more blood and pain. (I mean it's a wizard book) But was satisfying enough to give it 5 stars. The last book in the Septimus Heap series leaves us at a great conclusion worthy of a sequel series. Septimus and his friends will be truly tested here. Marcellus is building FYRE and that causes enough troubles of it's own as he's told no one leaving natural disasters as excuses for his "baby". And Septimus 2 eccentric uncles have been possessed by wizards that make DomDaniel look weak. And through this all Septimus questions where he is going in life. 11+

I think this book was awesome, a real great ending to the series.

A great ending to the Septimus Heap series! Loved every bit of the action and dialogue that went on between the characters. I should've known that there would be SEVEN books.

This series is sooo good!
Some of the later books of the seven of this series seem a little repetitive after a while but overall still AWESOME!!!!

Really great conclusion to the series. I was actually satisfied with the endings for all the characters, which I haven't been with many books lately, so it was a very pleasant surprise. Having read all of the other books, including the companion to this series, I would have been very disappointed had it not lived up to expectations. Fortunately, Ms. Sage did not let me down. Loved the entire series, would absolutely recommend it to strong readers 8+ who enjoy magic. Although apparently "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from Magyk"...!
