A quick read. The author seems to be quite taken with multiple metiphors, each more colorful than the previous, but over-the-top for what is necessary to set the scene. He backs off of this style as the story line progressses. This book is not as well developed as others in the genre. The "affair" of the main characters is superfluous to the story line.
