the promise of truly irritating character development comes to fruition in this book. I couldn't get past maybe 50 pages. Main character says "eep" "Oh figs", chews her hair, exhibits "sass" and truly embarrassing "wit". She pouts ("cutely") and is about as incompetent, undisciplined, immature and stupid as should get her killed in the first 5 pages. I had to stop when I realised I was hoping someone would kill her off and end the farce.

Starts out slow, but continues to more quickly and is addicting. The story continues where the other left off in a good seamless manner. There are many unanswered questions at the end however, and I'm optimistic of a third book with Widdershins. Still enjoying very much.
