Van Damme (Executive Producer as well) and Adkins played assassins and both were out to punch the same $million ticket, one for the money and one for revenge. A decent action crime film complete with big guns, ruthless villains, victimized damsels, dirty cops, double crosses, martial arts, cheesy hardboiled dialogue and redemption. One that Steven Seagal wished to have made.

This was actually a very good movie. Nonstop action and an entertaining plot. Well worth a watch.

For the shoot-em-up, adrenaline rush enthusiast who also appreciates some intelligent artistry. A mature Van Damme film shot in a slight Sepia tone that gives the movie an Eastern European, rustic feel. It is a good action movie with enough intelligence and character development to draw in the audience, get a sense of the characters beyond typical 2D of most action movies, and provides more than just a broad stroke gunshot to graphic gunshot movie.

Very well done, somewhat slow paced, but the pacing worked well for the deep intrigue and paranoia. Scott Adkins was very well suited for his dark intensity and Jean Claude Vas Damme was perfect as the other hitman.

Only four quotes at IMDb. A few more favorites of mine:

People choose their death when they choose how they live.
-Does that let you sleep at night?
I sleep fine. I'm a weapon. I don't choose where I'm pointed.
-Of course. You just follow orders.
I'm not different than a doctor or a waiter. I serve a function.
-I get it. I'm in the service industry too.
You calling me a whore?
-A service provider. Actually I'm nothing like you. I don't have a choice. I have nothing and no one. You have money, power. You can get out of the life anytime you want. You choose not to.

I'm worried because for you it's personal. You care too much. It's going to get you dead. Maybe me too.
-Ask yourself this: If you never really cared about anyone or anything... then were you ever really alive?

Where I come from, priests and crooks, they're all the same.
-Do you dream?
No.

You have access to the best technology... and yet a man with a comatose wife in tow can elude you for-- For how many years now?
-This is what he does best, and he is the best.

You trust him?
-As much as I trust you.

You can sit there insulting me or you can help. What's it gonna be?

-Ever think about your future?
No, it will come soon enough.
===
As a wise man once said: We are all prisoners of our own passions.
-You're wrong about me. I'm not a prisoner of anything.

You're overreacting.
-If I overreacted, you'd be dead.

You're breaking your own code. Risking your life because of feelings.
