First book I read by her. Loved it. I give it 5 stars. Old stubborn man, finding a friend, in a young girl. Highly recommend it.

Delightful. Somehow the author has managed to write an engaging and lighthearted story that deals with issues relating to serious illness, aging, parental regret, adolescence, and dysfunctional families.

A surprisingly enjoyable read.
