“The Loser List” reminded me of “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” because of the story and the way it was written. It also reminded me a bit of “Dork Diaries” just because of the way it looks like a journal. When I saw this book I thought it would be some attempt to copy “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” but it’s definitely not. This book is basically about a student at Gerald Ford Middle School and how he ends up having his name on The Loser List. I found “The Loser List” quite cliché as it included a “nerd”, weird best friend, the “mean girl’, and the “popular guys” that act like bullies. The moral is knowing who your friends are and doing the right thing but there’s also a lot of gossip and manipulating people in “The Loser List”. There are many amusing parts of the book along with entertaining illustrations. Overall I found the book enjoyable and I would recommend this book for ages 8+. 4/5 stars.
