The late Charlie Louvin was one half of the Louvin Brothers, a gospel/country act known for their close harmonies and one of the greatest record covers ever (Google "Satan is Real" right now). The band broke up and brother Ira died in a car accident, but Charlie, like Ralph Stanley, had something of a late career renaissance, appropriate as his influence is all over indie/alt country. This live album, recorded shortly before he died, is a sort of tribute to Gram Parsons, who covered a number of Louvin Brothers songs. It's not a bad album, but, really, Louvin owes Parsons nothing.
