Blazingly honest and so much to relate to if you've been through marriage and children, and if you can look at the roles of men and women and get pissed that we still are expected to give everything up to serve our families, but a man is praised for "helping". That's just one example of many essays. I'm 58 and thought it was a great book, very brave.

OK, so the title and the description alerted me to the fact that this book wasn't about kittens and rainbows. That being said, I found it to be a nasty-spirited rant by a middle-class woman about her first-world problems. No entertainment value whatsoever.

If you've ever been a parent, been a mom or just tired of life, there's a lot that's real and believable about the character in this book.
